Released in 1962, the Jaguar was based on the Jazzmaster, with the same "offset waist" body and "floating tremolo" system. Unlike the Jazzmaster, the Jaguar was fitted with a shorter 24-inch scale, 22-fret neck (the first Fender guitar to have 22 frets) and featured smaller single-coil pickups with notched side plates that improved RF shielding, making the Jaguar less prone to interference than the more popular Stratocaster and Telecaster. |

The Telecaster Bass was introduced in May 1968. Essentially a straight reissue of the original 1951 Precision Bass, it featured a large pickguard, Telec -shaped headstock, single pickup, and chrome control plate. In '71,the Tele Bass was given an overhaul. The old-style pickguard was redesigned to eliminate the control plate, and the single-coil pickup was replaced with a larger, more powerful, humbucking unit. The Telecaster Bass was produced alongside the contemporary Precision Bass through the 1970s. It was to be the final version of the Telecaster Bass, which was discontinued in the fall of 1979. |

The Gibson Les Paul Deluxe was originally released in 1969. It was basically a Standard Goldtop that was fitted with mini-humbuckers. The new pickups produced a nice, tight crunch that pleased many players of the period. The Who's Pete Townshend made use of them in several concerts and recordings. The guitar first appeared on the gibson price list in 1969 for $425 and proved to be a successful alternative to the full-sized humbucker equipped Les Pauls. |

The SG Junior features a slim, lightweight mahogany body paired with a P-90 single coil pickup Originally introduced as the lower budget, student model Les Paul Jr, it was was renamed the "SG" model shortly after the new body style was introduced in 1961. It's stripped down mentality and cutting tone made it a favorite of early punk and rock musicians alike. |

Featuring four 10" speakers and 40 watts of power, the Fender Concert was rather short lived (1960-65) and was available in period correct brown, white or black tolex. Loud and punchy, it was retired soon after the introduction of the 4x10" Super Reverb in late '63.

As with most Fender combos of the day, the Deluxe received a make-over in late '63, adding reverb and switching the tolex color to black. The newly rechristened Deluxe Reverb was an immediate success due to it's sweet tone, expansive reverb, and small size and weight. Loud enough for a small club and perfectly suited for studio use, the Deluxe Reverb has been described by many as the perfect "desert island" amplifier. |

In the fall of 1954, Nathan Daniel started production of Silvertone guitars for Sears. He also produced the same guitars under the Danelectro name, sold to other jobbers. These early models didn't have truss rods but had a 3/4" square aluminum tube beginning at the peghead and through the body to the bridge. The bodies were constructed of solid Poplar wood. The Silvertone models were covered with a dark maroon vinyl covering, while the Danelectro models were covered in a whitish tweed material. The Silvertone brand produced a wide variety of styles over the years. Mainly a beginner's instrument, their unique tones and styles have stood the test of time and are now highly regarded collectables. Silvertone also produced several fine tube amps during their heyday. |

TWIN/TWIN REV
Introduced in 1952, the Fender Twin featured a 2x12" speaker configuration, tweed covering, and two 6L6 power tubes supplying 25 watts of power. In '58, Fender boosted the power output to 80 watts with a quad of 5881 output tubes. Known as the "high power" Twin, these models have become the most sought after by both players and collectors. In 1963, Fender added reverb to the design and the Twin Reverb was born. Throughout the years, the ever-popular Twin has had many versions, including the Twin Reverb, Twin Reverb II, Red Knob Twin (often referred to as the "evil Twin"), and, most recently, the '65 reissue. |

The Musicmaster Bass was introduced as a variation of the Mustang bass in the mid-60's. It was originally marketed as a student model. Rather than the split-coil design of the Mustang Bass, it featured a single-coil pickup, which was actually a 6-pole Stratocaster guitar pickup under a solid plastic cover. Fender also produced a small tube combo, titled Musicmaster bass, that was surprisingly good sounding for both bass and guitar.

Developed by Leo Fender and launched in 1950, the Broadcaster was soon changed to Telecaster to avoid confusion with the name of a drum model produced by Gretsch. It has remained a staple of the Fender line for nearly 60 years.
