The Framus guitar company was established in 1946 in Bavaria, Germany. By the mid '60s it was the largest and most respected guitar manufacturers in Europe, employing some 300 workers at its Bubenreuth location. Mounting debt and a changing music environment, however, forced the company on hard times, and in 1975, the company went bankrupt. |
